She previously co-anchored CNN’s international news program Around The World and various editions of CNN Newsroom. Malveaux also served as the network’s White House correspondent and the primary substitute to Wolf Blitzer on The Situation Room. She joined CNN in 2002 and is based in Washington, D.C.. She runs the charity MalveauxMission.org which is an organization dedicated to finding a cure for ALS. The inspiration is her mother, who was diagnosed with the disease. In 2015, she was involved in some ridicule after doing a segment on what she and producers thought was an ISIL flag at the Pride Parade.

She got her first job in television in Boston, Massachusetts, with New England Cable News where she worked from 1992 to 1996.
